Children and Community Service

In order to build up a generation of socially responsible and engaged youth and young adults, it is important to instill in children the value of giving back to their community. The following questions from Youth Serving America are a good way to access if your child is ready to be an active community service volunteer.

  1. Do you want to do something to make your town or city better?
  2. Can you think of any problems in your town or city that you can help fix?
  3. Do you know how to plan a project using your creativity?
  4. What issue(s) are/would you be most interested in?
