What is Community Service?
Community service is the work that individuals and/or organizations do for the benefits of others. Community service is often done within the communities that people live, so that their own communities reaps the benefits of the work done.
Community service can help any group of people in need: women, children, youth, senior citizens, people with disabilities, immigrants etc. Community service can be used to improve community spaces, such as a local park, historic building, or scenic area as well. Community service is often organized through a local group, such as a place of worship, school, or non-profit organization. Individuals can also start their own community service projects.
