What is Community Service?

Community service is the work that individuals and/or organizations do for the benefits of others. Community service is often done within the communities that people live, so that their own communities reaps the benefits of the work done.

Community service can help any group of people in need: women, children, youth, senior citizens, people with disabilities, immigrants etc.  Community service can be used to improve community spaces, such as a local park, historic building, or scenic area as well. Community service is often organized through a local group, such as a place of worship, school, or non-profit organization. Individuals can also start their own community service projects.

What is Phoenix Squad 29?

Staying true to our mission to rebuild and restore balance to low-income, marginalized and disadvantaged communities by helping, encouraging, inspiring and empowering women, children, youth and young adults around the world; we acknowledge and recognize that we cannot do this alone.

Phoenix Squad 29 is a collective of individuals who stand along side Phoenix Queens of the Nation; united in our work as effective agents for global social equity and social change. The success of our work will rely on our ability to organize and mobilize committed groups of volunteers who live and work within the communities we serve and have a thorough and organic understanding of what it will take in order to bring about the real change that is needed.
